A friend of mine (sailing novice) just purchased an Oday 272 sailboat.
He was told by the yard that winterized the boat that the water pump was broken and they can't winterize the fresh water system.
He needs to winterize the fresh water system before freezing weather lingers.

The boat is a 2 hour drive from my house, so I haven't been able to get to it.
Is anyone familiar with this particular boat?
Does it have an electric fresh water pump?
If so where is it located?
Is there an inspection port on the water tank that he can access so an external pump could be used to remove water from the tank?

Thank you in in advance for any help

Since most likely the 272 has an outboard and the water system is likely to be pretty simple. Probably just a plastic tank and hoses to manual pumps in the galley and head. Easiest way to deal with a non-working pump would be to drain the water tank into the bilge by removing the outlet hose and then blowing out the water lines.
