Thursday I am making a long trek: Calgary>Chicago>San Juan PR> BVI

Delivering a Leopard 48 to Colon. Hope to depart as early as Saturday - weather and preparations permitting.

So far the weather looks great. But ....

Wow - that sounds like an awesome trip. I would give anything to sail with you Jack. One day maybe.

Have fun! I sailed a Leopard 47 from Gran Canaria to St David, Grenada a couple years back. Great trip and a solid boat. Got some big surfs under a gennaker. This cat had really low aspect rudders which were prone to over steering if you are used to high aspect rudders on mono hull racers. Wish I was going along with you!

Jack, which route will you be taking? Sounds like one Hell of a fantastic voyage.

Billyruffin suggested going to 14N 77 30W before turning to Colon. I have that in mind. No chance to explore.

Best of luck Jack. Keep an eye on that system. Looks like it's about to develop into a TS. Hope you don't have a schedule.
