Hello All,
Buying a sailboat at this time of the year (fall), seems to be a better time price wise to purchase for varied reasons.
The boats are stored on their cradles and most are winterized but the problem is, you can't check the mechanical functions properly.
Has anyone made an offer without a "sea trial "and how would you write the offer to purchase please.
Thanks for you help!

Look around for the YBAA purchase and sale form, most likely the broker would use it if one is involved. It's is common practice to complete a winter sale with an escrow, say $5,000, held for a satisfactory sea trial.
