I recently bought an O'day 25 with OMC saildrive. The powerhead was removed long ago and now only the leg is left. I do not want to repower so I am thinking about removing the lower unit and glassing over the resulting hole. I was wondering if anyone has done this before or could offer some advice on how to do it. How difficult would it be? Is it extra work worth it to stop dragging the old leg around?
Any thoughts or advice is appreciated.
