Nearly new, low hours.

Wide open floor plan.

Light open spaces.

Well situated.

Motivated seller. ;)


Here's the real description from YachtSalvage.com:

Actual Condition
It is reported this Beneteau struck a rock while underway. When it was towed offshore, the keel was torn off. The vessel was then towed up the beach by bulldozer and broken into 3 pieces.
I can understand the bulldozer pulling the boat apart, but not the keel falling off.

That's pretty cool. Nothing like some good carnage (as long as everyone is safe).

We have a member, Daniel Goldberg, with that exact same model. Hey, Daniel, need a parts boat?:D

P.S. Actually Daniel, if you got to Tim's link, there looks to be a pretty nice radar/bimini/davit arch still in good shape.

OUCH!!!

Hard to imagine that much damage just by dragging it up a beach... I think the bulldozer must have driven over it. Sad end to an expensive boat.

The owner's gonna have to pony up for removing the wreckage from the beach more likely than not. I hope his insurance was paid up.

Yeah, that's actually our boat. Had a tough weekend. :mad: Just kidding of course. Actually, it's an awfully sad looking story, and I shouldn't joke. There but for the grace of Neptune go I!

On the radar arch, I have to say, it's slightly tempting. Not sure if I mentioned this, but our davits are in the midst of the install, and it's proving to be a bit of a PITA. Not the install per se, but the davits are very far apart due to the transom confirguration, so hoisting the dink in a way that's reasonable and stable is going to be a little challenging. I'll know much more in about a month or so after the install is complete, the boat is splashed, and we tinker with the setup. But if it doesn't work well, I'm going to start to wonder if we should have gone with the arch option, notwithstanding the aesthetics.

It's all a matter of personal tastes, but I happen to think an arch looks pretty good on boats like yours.

Unfortunately, according to the salvager's website, you'd have to purchase the entire hulk just to get the arch!:eek:

I saw this a couple weeks ago and I remember thinking at the time why not strip it and part it out like you would a car. Wouldn't the salvager have a better chance of unloading it that way??

If your davits have a hefty stainless steel cross bar like my Kato davits, I see no reason why you cannot have someone weld rings for the lifting harness anywhere on the bar so the dink can be lifted easily regardless of the distance between the arms.
