I know this is labeled as a P-30 racing site, but I thought I might get some good info here....

How is the keel constructed in a P-36? My Ranger 33 appeared to be poured molten lead in the fiberglass keel/bilge pocket. Similar construction on the P-36?

Thanks,

John

Duhhhhh......

OK, the Pearson keel is a bolt-on vs. the Ranger pocket keel. How is the ballast configured? Is it 100% lead, or is there a steel framework of some sort, or what?

And to give you an idea of where this is going, what is the going price of lead keels in the scrap metal market?

Thanks for all insights.

Please define "luck"

The floating of DS is scheduled for this Saturday - good timing of tides, etc. I have some people and equipment lined up and I'll get the rest this week.

Whatcha doing Saturday?
