I am interesting by a Passport 470, maximum 5 years old, my question is related to the performance under sail? How it compare to the French or German boats?

Any experience?

We have friends with a Passport 40.. it's a wonderful boat. The finish and detail is amazing and the performance surprisingly good. Presumably the 47 ft version would just be more of the good.

I am assuming that the 470 is an updated version of the original Perry designed 47.. she looks to be. I know some of the more recent Passports are not Perry boats.
