I am at least the third owner of a 1971 P26. My NYS Reg says 1971 so that's why I say 1971. The oval disc with the Pearson logo and hull number that is mounted to the engine well was long gone when I got the boat 12 years ago. I have been through the boat from stem to stern many times and have never found any numbers. Does anyone know if there is any obscure place on a P26 where the hull number is located?

check your sails? That is how I discovered my Sea Sprite as #110.. which as an aside, the numbers 11 through 100 were skipped.. so mine is actually hull number 20

The molded HINs on the stern began in November 1972. This may help if the registration has the serial number on it.

Pearson Serial Number Decoding

Maybe its my old boat! I owned number 199 from 1979 to 1989 and traded it in to a dealer in Huntington NY.
