A friend of mine and I bought a Hobie Cat 16 a few years ago. I had had one when I was much younger, but I admit I had forgotten a lot about how to rig it.
My wife took a video of us rigging it to launch it the first time and I hate it got destroyed In Katrina, because we used to get the biggest laugh watching it. I don't know how many times the mast went up before it actually stayed up.
It literally looked like Laurel and Hardy trying to launch a HobieCat.
So, it sounds like you did a lot better than we did that day.
