While resealing my porthole Plexiglas shield I applied some Xylon on small (~ 0.5 Sq. Ft)area partially destroying clear finish on my Plexiglas. Is there any way to restore gloss and clarity on this type of material.

Wet sand starting with 600 grit wet and dry sandpaper then 1000 then 1300, then 2000 grit. Use a few drops of detergent as a lubricant. Use a flat rubber block or disc to hold the sandpaper flat. This will give you a matte finish.
Then buff with a cloth wheel (not a pad) at mediium speed with a ''bit'' of jewelers rouge on the wheel. Go slow and easy on the pressure when you power buff ... or you will burn/soften/distort the plexiglass surface.
You will wind up with an optically clear surface; but, it will have image distortion.

Thanks for your tip. I have also found product called MICRO-MESH by Micro-Surface Finishing Products, Inc. (http://www.micro-surface.com/acrilic.htm) A kit to do 30 Sq.Ft. runs for under $30.00.

Thanks again RichH!
