A friend is buying an old Catalina 30.
The survey will turn up a leaking port light.
Port side aft.
The design is a metal ring set into the fiberglass then a Plexiglas fixed light set in the metal ring secured with a flexible strip on the inside.
It appears to be leaking between the plexi and the ring as If I lift the flexible strip the metal channel is full of water.
Other than buying the repair or replacement kits any successful repairs?
