Yes, but would you trust that this craft would not be rolled in heavy seas? While a life-raft is also not ideal as they do have reliability problems; they do have ballast bags beneath the floor on most well made models that help prevent them from being rolled or blown over. In direct comparison to a RIB I would say it is probably equivalent or a bit better but not in comparison to a well made liferaft for that application.

Portland pudgy
Has anyone had first hand experience with the Pudgy? I have heard all the opinions pro and con, but except from to favorable comments provided by the manufacturer, it is hard to find someone who has used the Pudgy for long term cruising.
