Recently I purchased a 2000 PS34. It is in superb condition but the previous owner never rigged the running backstays. Can you advise me on what connectors to use? Each assembly comprises a length of vinyl-coated wire with a swaged eye at each end; and a two-part reduction apparatus with a small flat shackle attached to a fiddle on the top part, and a snapshackle on the bottom part below the camcleat. The snapshackle on the bottom part of the apparatus clearly attaches to the padeye bolted to the after deck. The top part needs a connector between its flat shackle and the eye at bottom of the wire, since the shackle is too big for the eye. The eye at top of the wire will attach to the tang on the mast via some type of connector. What connectors are you folks using? In the accompanying photo, each of the four attachment points I have described is indicated with a red twisty.

Thanks for the help.
