I may be a little late in posting this message since we have already offered on a bristol 29.9 but i was wondering if anyone had any comments on this boat. It has every item we were looking for in a sailboat (good quality, fairly heavy displacement, headroom, shower, good capsize ratio, ok motion comfort ratio etc:) It seems to be a perfect fit for us. i was just wondering if anyone might have any comments on this boat

We have friends with one. Nice boat for a couple, for weekends, as it isn''t too big but they are generally well put together and pretty. (It''s a Bristol, after all.) Our friends are looking for something bigger because of the children. As they often sail in company with other club members, they are also looking for something faster, because they''re somewhat tired of always being at the tail end of the fleet. A faster boat would also provide them more variety in the harbors they could visit in a day''s sail. If you have a lot of harbors to explore near you (we don''t), and don''t have crowds to entertain overnight, the Bristol 29.9 should be a great cruising platform for the long haul.

Since you have already made the offer what should I do? Tell you to enjoy the boat I guess?

It''s a 30 footer so you should have enough room.

I hope it''s breezy where you sail. The 29.9 does not have much sail area.

Considering price and performance the 29.9 would not be my first choice for Long Island Sound.

It''s no big deal. It''s a used boat and if you like sailing you can get a bigger boat.

Enjoy yourself.
