I''m looking for guidance on how to move my 19'' Starwind (swing keel) off of her trailer and onto yard jacks (possibly home-made stands). I want to do this in my yard so I can accomplish hull and trailer maintenance. Any direction or advice will be appreciated.

I just recently did this with a 17'' ODay, and it was no easy feat doing it alone. I used a hydraulic car jack (like mechanics use) and good padding under the keel. I jacked up the aft first and slid the large sawhorse under from behind, then lowered the jack. With the help of several youth holding onto the transom I carefully pulled the trailer allmost all the way from under the boat, then repeated the jacking and slid under the front sawhorse. I built the sawhorses out of 4x6 timbers. I installed a trailer roller onto the front sawhorse for padding and to help make shifts of the boat fore and aft easier. This is working well so far. I had to put blocks under the jack to get it to reach high enough.
