I have decided to compete in the Everglades challenge for my 40th birthday. My brother has agreed to help me in this endeavour and compete with me. The Everglades Challenge is a 300 mile, non stop, unassisted race through the Florida Everglades and the Gulf of Mexico. We have decided to compete in the 2018 race, our preparation begins with this video. Enjoy learning with us.

Does it end in the Gulf of Mexico or is part of the race in the Gulf? Sounds like quite an adventure!!!

A late-70s picture of my Prindle with the first chute, before the sprit and hiking racks. That was the boat that taught me how to sail.

We are very happy with the boat, she seems to strike a perfect balance between speed and forgiveness. Plus, we are not small guys and there is still plenty of reserve buoyancy, which is nice.
