Hello;

A large retailer here in Canada has the Air-X 400 on sale this week and in researching it online I have found one sight referring to a different Air-X 400 for Marine use and Land use. Are there 2 different models? Air-X lists the 400 as having 2 moving parts, how can you have a product different for Marine use and Land use when there are only 2 moving parts?

Thanks;

Robert

Yes, there are at least two. I bought a new, never-used 24V Air-X still in its box at a yard sale for $300 thinking I'd use it on the boat, but the extra stuff needed to step down its output to supplement the 12V solar array, etc. didn't make sense. So when the guy who sold me the panel offered to trade it for a "land" 12V Air-X, I went for it. The model I got is has a plain aluminum casing, which I will prime with MetalPrep and then slap on a two-part epoxy topcoat of International Orange. I will be able to find my boat in half a mile of mist!
