Just getting started on my spring checklist. I filled my water tanks so I could flush out the antifreeze that was in them for the winter. When I started the pressure pump and opened the faucets to drain the tanks, I heard a sound coming from my HW tank. When I looked at it, water was coming out from the treads of the relief valve and also the engine coolant line. Any suggestions on what's wrong?

Can't say about the pressure relief, however the engine heater lines means that circuit in the tank might be compromized. I'd get the engine lines blocked off ASAP untill you know for sure. If you start your engine, you'll probably get engine anti-freeze into your hot water plumbing in the boat. :(

If you didn't drain the water heater you may have a problem, running just antifreeze through it alone isn't usually enough, especially during this past winter of exceptional coldness :)

When is the last time you replaced the anode? It is part and parcel of the discharge valve and needs be replaced at 3-5 year intervals. The material breaks down and builds up a sludge on the bottom of your tank that, when agitated can obstruct the discharge line. I suggest you pull the valve and see what, if anything, is left of the anode. Use a shop vac with a piece of plastic tubing to suction out the tank. You may need to refill and suction out the tank several times or more to get all of the sludge out. While your line is disconnected, use your shop-vac to suction out the water lines. Replacement anodes from Raritan run about $60 USD. Ten bucks says that's your fix. BTDT.

FWIW...
