Real cost of living on a sailboat.

What is the real cost of living in a house?
What is the real cost of traveling life style in general?

I know folks who live on land for under $1500 per month for a family of 4.
And I know some who can barely make it on $8000 a month also for a family of 4.

In NC you can tie up for $150 a month. In Florida Keys the same thing will cost you 10 times as much.
The variability gets even bigger when travel is involved.
If you have at least $1500 a month to spend, you have a decent chance to make it happen. Go for it. Take a big chance. Don't obsess over money. Be frugal, but not to the point of having no fun. Fun is the point. And when you find out you have some money left over each month, go ahead and spend a bit more on your favorite fun stuff.
