Hi all! We just purchased a Pearson Vanguard and looking for recommendations for a competent, fairly priced yard for rigging, engine maintenance, etc….RI and SE MA. Or good roving mechanics.
Thanks!

You need to decide which state you want to keep the boat. There are tax advantages for RI, but that alone is not reason enough to keep a boat there.

Kingman is good - if you can get to Falmouth MA
Fairhaven Shipyard is good in Fairhaven MA
Trips is good in Westport MA
Safe Harbor Sakonet River is good (but expensive) in Portsmouth RI
Safe Harbor Cove Haven is good (but expensive) in Barrington RI

Safe Harbor New England Boatworks, Portsmouth, RI
A couple people that I know have been blown off by NEB when requesting an appointment for work to be done. One of them runs a charter fleet with several boats. They're either too busy with the work that they have, or something else, but not a good sign.
