You could, without much difficulty or cost, have the parts duplicated in white or black starboard by a local carpentry shop. Save the old parts and refinish them properly so they can be reinstalled later by the next owner should he/she wish to do so.I have very little wood on my deck, the 3 pieces of wood around the companionway I think I wanna do in black...ideas? Is there a black stain I can use then what do I use to protect it? Make sure it doesnt run?
Here is a pic of what it looks like now....

I'd go with a gray enamel, say about the shade and matte gloss of your slotted toe rail. Black would be tough to make look right next to the plexi and the sun could make it fail earlier.I have very little wood on my deck, the 3 pieces of wood around the companionway I think I wanna do in black...ideas?
