Don’t see on the charts any bouyage markings if entering from behind Reedy Point Island from the north..just south of the C&D east entrance?
Having anchored behind Reedy two dozen times we've never transmitted behind but directly from the canal. The safest entrance is to go down to the Green 5R and then proceed .8 Mike's through the red 1 and Green 2 which are both on there's of jetties. Be aware of the current owner don't come in on an angle. We then head north in the 20 ft de throatep h anchoring south of the cable runs
We use the island as a tanker wake break and weigh anchor 1.5 hours before by CURRENT switches. You exit either back through the jetties or head south keeping the Reedy Island dyke to Port exit going south that way.
Be advised the current runs 3 knots. We use a kellet here to prevent rode wrap.
Like I said I don’t enter from the north behind the island .
The entrance through the dyke is wide , marked and no shallow areas unless you draw 10 ft. With 2 jetty ends flashing red and green markers to g between. unless you only read Braille they are hard to miss.
You asked for clarification. If you want to waste and hour and a half of time your prerogative. I rather that be spent on my first glass of Pinot noir
