so i guess these questions will be towards US citizens unless others no the answers. anyways so im in the process of possibly buying a boat that is currently located down in St vincent bvis. the previous owner is from great britian. so my questions are where should i register it with the bvis, usvis, or is it different to register with continental US. which ever costs me less i guess. my plan is when im not using the boat to have it chartered. id rather not have to pay a bunch on taxes. any info will be greatly appreciated

If it is not an American vessel, you will have to pay duty to import it into the US. St Vincent, quite a long way from the BVI's, by the way, has it's own laws about those sorts of things as do the BVI's. Your best bet is to contact the charter company that is going to manage the boat for you and they'll help you decide where it should be registered.
