Hello all. This is my first post. I'm renovating a 1976 Soverel 26. I painted the hull along the original lines ( a lot of taping involved ) but put the last coat of an accent color on a little too late in the day. Dew settled and turned my gloss blue paint into a flat blue in areas. I used Interlux two part poly.

My question is: Do I re-tape the whole thing and add another coat of blue or simple go over with a clear coat? Will a clear coat turn the flat paint back to a glossy finish?

Thanks

You have to sand and repaint there is really no such thing as clearcoat on marine paints only on car paint
