So this summer we were wanting to take our RL24 off its trailer. It is a swing keel trailer-able sailboat. While it is off the trailer we wanted to take a wire wheel and repaint the trailer. We were thinking of some kind of glossy spray paint that would have some smoothness to it as it would be real easy to wipe off. It is only going to be used in freshwater, I was just looking for any suggestions on a spray paint or any paint that would be easy to clean but durable for a trailer. Thank you for any and all help.

I used regular old rustoleum, on mine... but my goal was simple, cover and prevent rust...
Before

After

I used semi-gloss white... but I didn't get the trailer smooth, just rust free before hand. It held up OK.. got 2 seasons with no more rust. Then I sold it.

I've used rustoleum on a couple of equipment trailers, along with some pipe/ladder racks on pickups thru the years. Overall with results I will not argue with. Sometimes as long as 3-5 years. I am probably doing more abuse than you would with a boat trailer hauling my bobcat/trackhoe on one trailer. Daily use with employee;s hauling lawn mowers etc.
