Hi, I own a small sailing dingy (13 foot old flying junior) and was wondering a good way to repair scratches on the outside of the boat. Is there some sort of gelcoat repair kit I could use, or should I just wait until the whole thing has to be repainted?

Also, the luff rope is ripping off the main sail a little bit in the middle...doesn't seem to affect it yet as it still feeds into the mast fine, but could anyone recommend a way to fix it?

Thank you very much for your time and any help is appreciated

Evercoat makes a gelcoat scratch repair kit.

As for the luff rope, it sounds like the sail cloth may be uv-damaged and is tearing there. Without a photo, I can't really suggest any repairs though.

as for the sail, just send it to a loft, they can tell you whats better than we can.

as for the hull, if they are not deep, how about a buff and polish to see if they fade enough to make you happy.
