I would like to replace a bathroom faucet (double mixer one with handheld shower)

All the ones I can find appear to be designed for a threaded connection with a sealing washer (like you have at home).

The one I am replacing has hose barbs, over which the water hose is pushed.

Can you get adapters, or is there another solution I'm missing?

I've run across the same problem, X2.
My internal water lines are all 1/2 inch outer diameter flexible PVC, and no one makes it anymore, or any of the slip rings and nuts for the compression fittings it needs. Wouldn't be so bad, but one of the hot water lines is leaking and the nut cracked.

What you can do, and what I'm going to do is get a short piece of newer hoses that will fit your threaded connections and attach it, then cut the other end off and get a barb to barb fitting (appropriate size to fit each hose, they have ones that transition sizes) and connect using that and hose clamps.

The alternative of course is to pull everything and rerun with the new stuff.

You can cut the thread fitting off the new shower and use a barbed coupler to connect to the supply hose line. If they are different sizes use a barbed adapter to couple them.

The short answer is that you can get female pipe threades to hose barb adapters at HD, Lowes, etc. The faucet stem threads will be 1/2", and of course the barb size should match the ID of your existing lines. Be sure to use teflon tape or pipe dope on the stems. They're NPS (straight, not tapered threads), and the adapters will likely be NPT, but theylre work fine.

I think you will find standard 1/2"od ball end tubes fit the bottom nut of the "marine" facet. Basically they are the same as a bathroom facet's connection. Same on the Galley sink.

The "ball" end is basically the same as what would be a loose compression ring. The "nut" on the bottom of a facet is an oversize or reducing compression nut.

Go to a hardware store and buy the adaptor(s) needed to go from female thread to 1/2" barb for the H and C fittings on the new fawcet. Or get a threaded cap for the hot if you don't have hot water. They'll be brass or nylon. Use teflon tape on the threads. Bring the new faucet along if you aren't sure of the thread size.
You shouldn't have to cut or modify anything.

unless you are taking the sink out.. you will need one of these.. assuming you can even get under a head or galley sink.

Or any plumbing supply. Hand the faucet and a piece of hose to the guy at the counter and he'll dig up the parts to connect them. Should be easy. I did it for my galley and wash basin.
