I was dropping the mast and the forestay where the cable goes into the tbar got bent.
I wondered if it's possible to pull the tbar off, trim off that damaged section of the cable, and reattach the tbar?

I attached a pic of the piece for reference.

Those connections are generally swaged on and are not removable.. and if you cut it off, cleaned up the cable and reattached a (new) fitting, you'd be several inches shorter and probably won't have the room in the turnbuckle to make up the difference... If the cable kink is serious it looks like you're getting a new stay.

None of the wires broke, but when it kinked, they separated. Once straightened, it looks normal but I'd imagine it's not as strong as it once was.
I don't know much about what abuse they can take but afaik, they don't like to be bent.
I'd be worried about it if I didn't repair/replace it.
