It looks like it will be cheaper to get a new compass than to try and locate a new binnacle mount for mine. I've been looking at the Ritchie B-51 or D-84. Does anyone have the B-series compass? If so, how is the damping on it?
My current one is has their powerdamp (as does the D-84) and it's nice and stable, however the B-51 is half the price. Thoughts from the Sailnet massive?
