I have read the treads on this topic, but I still have a few questions. How often or important is it to be able to adjust luff tension on a roller furling?. I am leaning towards the CDI because I believe in the KISS theory. The less parts , the less things to break or fail at the least apporiate times. I would be intersted to hear if you have a CDI would you buy another one. any problems? thanks in advance.

for boats ~25'' and under the CDI system will work fine. For bigger boats it becomes a hassle. Its just not built to work well under heavy loads. The Schaeffer system is one of the best, followed by several others but for big boats CDI is at the bottom of my list.
