Now the first time i saw a Ronca Stopping device it was on the front of a smelly Frenchmans bow.I assume he was French because he smelled like cheap wine, garlic, and ,,,,,,,,,nevermind. He could of ben French Canadaian.....

Said Stopping Device,

So i am thinking cool...Having only one websight my scottish whisky impaired computer will go to.I search SAILNET for a ADD OR A LINK to said stopping device...Sadly there is no such ADD OR LINK HERE..

But it is a realy cool stopping device and i think the man could get a military contract and make alot of MONEY if he just had a ADD OR A LINK here at sailnet.Sadly he has nothing besides getting SPANKED AND DELEATED BY A MOD.....

Another shot of me driving said Frenchmans truck over my sailing waters in IRAQ.

Truck smelled like canadian customs office so am thinking he might be a FRENCH CANADIAN but still...just conjecture on my part..

Then it happened. While we are parkining in a FOB the SMELLY MAN deploys said stopping device......

<a href="http://s428.photobucket.com/albums/qq10/travler37/?action=view&current=IMG_0300.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i428.photobucket.com/albums/qq10/travler37/IMG_0300.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

It gets worse...............
<a href="http://s428.photobucket.com/albums/qq10/travler37/?action=view&current=IMG_0295.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i428.photobucket.com/albums/qq10/travler37/IMG_0295.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://s428.photobucket.com/albums/qq10/travler37/?action=view&current=IMG_0299.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i428.photobucket.com/albums/qq10/travler37/IMG_0299.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Now this realy cool stopping device just turned into a realy bad saftey issue.....When deployed you cant see a darn thing in sandy gravel!!!!

worse the guntower cant see you or anything else eather.

<a href="http://s428.photobucket.com/albums/qq10/travler37/?action=view&current=IMG_0311.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i428.photobucket.com/albums/qq10/travler37/IMG_0311.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

So now i am still trying to get ahold of Ronca to tell them they have a safty issue with there stopping device.I can not do it.

I was injured in IRAQ and am currantly home.Am huddled outside in the snow with my laptop under a blanket , Outside of Buffalo,NY. trying to keep the snow out of it.Does snow in the keyboard make a corosion problem???No high jacking...start another thread....:D Am a poor truck driver and can not afford a phone or internet service so am kinda borrowing my neighbors{3 houses down} whireless connection...

My problem that i need help with???

Please someone find out how to get ahold of Ronca and tell them there stopping device BLOWS SAND.I would but can not find a link here. All i can find on SAILNET from this reputable company is MODS DELEATING SOMEONES POST WHERE THEY TRIED TO SNEAK A ADD IN!!! And from this i am to think they make a good stopping device??NOT!!!!

So please.Help me get ahold of Ronca and tell them they BLOW SAND...Give them a link to this post so they can save the dollars paying the lawers and maybe afford to buy a ADD.........

Hey dumbass..nice photoshopping...(VBG)

And GOOD LUCK on your return to Iraq. Come back alive you hear?

Alex

PS.funny post...
Am currantly doing a 12 step comp program...Did not do the said Photoshopping. But it does look cool.

On a side note the truck is basically a class 4 bunker.Takes a big hit to penetrate it.I worry more about the boys on the ground more.Sucks when a friend does not come back.

My Thoughts
Mark.

PS,,Will never tell who did the shopping....:laugher

Is Buffalo in the Winter any better than Iraq in the summer? :D
Now that is a question that deserves some thought. And another 3 fingers of this ALMOST PERFECT single malt.

Thinks back to last winter when it snowed in IRAQ for the first time in 100 years..........

Short of it is yes,Is good to be home with the kids and wife.Long is i feal guilty and miss the war.Yup,you have to be a nutcase to miss it.

Sadly looks at the 11 inches of snow in my driveway and goes out to fire up the MANLY SNOWBLOWER.........Thinking summers were not that bad.Only 120f outside. If your A/C quit in truck only 150f+ inside it.Puts on heated flight suit and drinks said single malt...Will ponder question more and let you know if winter is any better.

My Thoughts
Mark
Notes/ said SINGLE MALT is not allowed in IRAQ.oR ANY OTHER BOOZE:(

Ive been looking for an ad for Ronca for a couple of days now. I did catch a glimpse of one a few days back but it disappeared as fast as it appeared. So when I replace my anchor I'll have to go with the one in Sailnet store.

But now honestly...
Doesnt it look realy cool on my smelly friends bow? Even if it does not hold in sandy gravel.:)

It may look cool but I can't find any info on Sailnet about it. And looks aren't everything. An ad would be nice so that I could check it out.

Jody,

I wouldn't know if I could or could not afford one because there is no ad on Sailnet to tell me if I can or not.

You should already know - Rolls Royce doesn't advertise just anywhere because they only advertise where they know you can afford it - get my drift... now go buy a Rolls Royce from an ad you find in NJ Times (they come with a free Rocna I hear)...:D

Now hot damn those are some great pics for the bow compatibility section of the new website. Travler we have your permission to use them? You shall have to let me know the name and type of vessel however, cos frankly I don't have a clue what to call it. Comments on mods necessary, and secondary role as armor?

~

As to the ad. And assorted complaints. Okay. We do advertise with Sailnet. Every month they get some of our hard earned $ sent their way.

Some of you may have noticed that Sailnet choose to use Google (it's called Adsense, look it up) as their primary means of displaying advertising. In fact we explicitly target Sailnet; i.e. it's set up to encourage Google to spend as many $ as possible at this site... however, if the almighty Google demographics robot deems it so, it will not display the ad...

May I suggest that all further complaints, about the absence of our promotional material from your screen, be directed to Sailnet? Should they establish a different delivery system for their advertising, we will be right onboard. In the meantime we got no choice okay? (the little ads on the left are not great positions or formats)

In the meantime, here's something to tide y'all over, if you're feeling starved of Rocna promo graphics. Enjoy.

Oh and if you feel the need for a new anchor - ask Sailnet if they can sell it to ya. Even if it's not listed on their site. Cos that way you're supporting them. And they see the demand. Our distributor will be happy to supply...

Hey Craig,

As I've mentioned before, my problem is that I already have two good anchors that will never wear out in my lifetime. Yours may be better, but there are a lot of serviceable CQRs and Bruces in circulation...

So, how about that "trade-in" program I suggested in the other thread? Couldn't you melt down a Delta or CQR and turn it into a Rocna? :D :D

P.S. Travler37, Great photos!:D Thanks for your service, glad you're back safely, and remember that home in Buffalo is where you belong. Spring will come soon enough.
