Has anyone any thoughts on using sail slugs to adapt a hank on jib to a roller furling ??????? I have a older storm jib that I could possibly get some use out of but isn't worth converting over to roller.

Thanks

I don't think slugs........

will fit in a RF Track. However, if they do, I don't see reason why not, but I think rolling it up would not work well, because of the point loads.

I agree.. unlikely you can get slugs to fit the normal #6 foil groove..... you might get some custom made but then you'd probably spend what you'd spend putting a proper luff tape on.

Maybe keep an eye out for a used sail the right size that already has the luff tape. That'd probably be the best way to go.

You don't want to use luff tape or to put the storm jib on your RF gear anyway...due to the forces at work on such a sail. The right way rig a storm jib is to Install a removeable inner forestay, and keep the hanks...
