This fall, well known writer and speaker Wally Moran, will be leading the Sail to the Sun ICW Rally south, from Deltaville VA to Miami FL. Leaving Deltaville on October 20 after a day of seminars and a reception organized by major sponsor Waterway Guide, the Sail to the Sun ICW Rally fleet will proceed to Norfolk and then on to the ICW for the trip of a lifetime for new cruisers.
There will be regular stops for socializing and entertainment with numerous get togethers arranged by various marinas and municipalities, and opportunities for Rallyers to explore the historic towns and cities along the way.
Underway, the Rally fleet will benefit from the able guidance of Fleet Captain Wally Moran, who led the first ICW rally south last year, safely led 18 new cruisers from Hampton VA to Miami. Moran's 25 trips on the ICW have given him an unparalleled understanding of the challenges the ICW, as well as how to safely transit them.
According to Moran: "It's all about being safe, while having a great time on an adventure these people have been waiting a lifetime for. Now they're free to do what they please with their lives, and it's my job to keep the adventure a safe and fun one. We had a great time last year and we'll have an even better one this year."
