I am wanting to learn to sail and am looking for sailing clubs in Arkansas.

I have googled it up and found a few. The ones that have websites are all a long distance from me. There is a listing for a Lake Dardanelle (which is close to me) sailing club but I cannot find any phone number or email address for contact.

Does anyone know how to contact the Lake Dardanelle sailing club?

Is there anyone in the Russellville - Fort Smith area who I can sail with? I am more than happy to help out in any way needed.

I will go further if I need to but it would be nice to be within one hour of home! I live near Altus AR (about half way between Fort Smith and Russellville). Lake Dardanelle would be a perfect sailing area for me. I live/farm very near the lake.

I live in Conway, and recently tried to learn to sail. There is a club on Lake Maumelle, but I could never find out how to contact them. I located a guy near fort smith that teaches on Lake Kerr near Sallisaw, OK..just across the Ark-Ok border. A nice guy that did a great job in teaching. I am still building skills, and will close on a boat in a few days. Search Captain Doug Thrift, or let me know and I will give you his contact information.

I met one of the members of the beaver lake sail club. They have their own marina, clubhouse, etc. I looked at a boat he had for sale. To bad it is two hours away (even longer in traffic).

I am looking at a couple sailboats. Hopefully I will get one bought soon and get on the water!
