Just finished our spring sailing trip in Croatia: 900 sea miles, 55 days. Spring in Croatia is relaxing, fair winds, not over crowed, we still found anchorances all for us alone  and in June the water temperatures were ok for swimming.

Looks lovely.

I'm doing a weeks charter from Split in September. Haven't even worked out where to go. Too far to get to Debrovnik.

Some suggestions: first of all use the app Navily to find aschorances.
Some nice spots on your way to Dubrovnik:

The last one you need a reservation for a buoy for the delicious restaurant Fischer man's house

We chartered a boat out of Split in May for a two week sail to Dubrovnik and back. It was beautiful but ended badly. My wife went below in a heavy wind day, slipped and was thrown into a table. She broke two ribs and spent four days in a Croatian hospital!

Sorry to hear about this, but as I use to say "sport is unhealthy and dangerous". Still hope she recovered soon!

I concur, the time to visit is not in the high season. Too many boats and people. The end of the season is very nice as well. But the legendary winds pick up.
A 2 month excursion sounds wonderful.

Spent last summer in the Adriatic, and loved every bit of it. Luka Supanska is a must stop if you want a little village with nothing going on. Mijet is also a great place to rent a bike and unwind for a few days. Hike the wall in Ston. And find as many little bays with a taverna with mooring balls as you possibly can.

Is she OK now?

What was the hospital like?

Must have been a terrible experience.
