We have this great program in Colorado call "Why Buy". See link below.
For about $450.00 a year you can sail for 4.5 hours a day all season. (April - Sept.)

Fuel is included, just the one time fee. That's it. It's a great deal.

Anyone else out there have a similar program?

Sure. Here in Madison, Wisconsin the Hoofers Sailing Club (hoofersailing.org) is a student run group that anyone can join. Cost about $345/year. The fleet includes unlimited access to Tech dinghys, windsurfers, Lasers, 420's, Interlake's, Scows (C, E, I-20, m-17), Capri 22, J22's, J24's, J29, five larger keelboats, and snow kiting (it is Wisconsin afterall). I'm no longer a member, but, learned a lot there.

Seems like a great option if you don't want to own. But then, what would you do for aggravation? What crazy expenses would complain about? :laugher

You have to look at these deals really carefully before you make a final decision....

Wow, I'd have killed for that program! Bargain indeed... While my boat is paid for I still have to pay $1200 a year in slip fees. Launch the thing myself.... of course I can go whenever I please, and sail as long as I like...

But then my fall/spring is spent upgrading, outfitting, and working on it too!

By the way, OWNER of a Capri 22... Freaking great boat.
