I just stumbled across this great video. The fashion is a little dated but the cast of experts is second to none and the questions and commentary are great. The video (especially the first half) is a very good intermediate level instruction on heavy weather. A lot of the experts focus heavily on crew moral/fatigue issue and there are some really good tips with great specifics on steering.

Cast includes Steve Dashew, Olaf Harken, Neil Pride, The predident of Hunter Yachts and many more...

This one only has 2,200 views and has clearly been published elsewhere, but I've never come across it before. I think it's a find worth sharing. What really good instructional videos have you found that are good enough to share?

Great videos! I thought I had seen all the "crash test boat" videos but I missed this one. I've read about many of the techniques they tried, but it is great to see what works and what is BS. There were also some goodies that I had never heard of or thought of that are now added to the mental bag of tricks.

That's an interesting setup shown in the second half of the video. It lets you "center the traveller" and still travel the boom all the way to the centerline of the boat. It would work on keelboats too. I have multiple traveller cars and might give it a go.
