I just came across this story and thought I would post it here. The boat maker is being charged with manslaughter "arising from gross negligence." Then the rescue ship ran over the two survivors.

I am a new member so I can't post links.

You can goole "Sailors hit by 50,000 tonne cargo 'rescue' ship after hours at sea." Maybe someone else can link to it.

I didn't read the story. But ships alongside boats, trying to recover people, often is dangerous and destructive. I'd need to be pretty sure I was in imminent danger of death before I tried to get aboard a ship in rough weather.

IT IS THE BOAT BUILDER ON TRIAL

"The boat's builders Adrian Presland and Alex Cittadini have been charged with four counts of manslaughter "arising from gross negligence" in the construction of the boat, completed four months before the incident.'
