I was surprized last night to see a lake freighter leaving Toronto's eastern gap! It was heading east, but can't imagine it is going to far east - I flew over the area yesterday and eastern Lake Ontario is plugged solid with ice.

For that matter, our bay is still frozen over and launch is in 4 weeks. I am sure the ice will be out in time for that, but am concerned about the amount of time we will have to prep the boats before launch! My ladder is still frozen into 4 inches of ice!

Thats strange, when I tried peeing onto my car door to unlock it after a night on the town last summer, I got arrested!
Well..... was the police office in windward or leeward? It is important when comes to sailing and peeing.

Also city ordinance permits peeing in public for the welfare of mankind. Yes, you can pee on your buddy when he is dead drunk in the parking lot to warm him up in the winter months. LOL.

The H2O Highway (Welland Canal between Lakes Erie & Ontario opens Monday, but there is still ice visible. The cube in my pool is at least 1' thick.

I believe the ice cutters have been working . Saw pictures and was on the evening news.

Supposedly it will be 53F today! Actually thought about taking the cover off. Instead i'm gonna top off the batteries and get organised for the spring repair schedule. Ouch.
The canal opens May 1st, launch May 8th. Can't wait.
