The caledonian canal is a nice short cut across Scotland, using the various Lochs (Loch Ness, Loch Oich and Loch Lochy) with canals in between. About 65 lochs all automatized, unlike Crinan Canal. It takes about 3 days to cross the canal. It is amazing to go down the Loch Ness sailing. We moored :
- Gailorchy : at the Loch, very quiet place. You can go for a long walk in the surroundings. Nice view on Ben Nevis.
- Urqhart Castle : we anchored in front of the castle, expecting to see ghosts the whole night !
Inverness is a very nice town worth visiting.
