My modem has suddenly started to act up.

1) Power on, everything normal.
2) Connect to modem (57,000,N,8,1) all the lights on the modem go out.
3) No connection possible.
I am using a bluetooth connection but my guess is a direct serial connection (USB to Serial) would act the same way.

When I am able to make a connection the modem spectrum display is mostly pinned to the far right.

The SCS website is down so I can't get advice there.

Is there a way to reset the modem?

Or should I do something else?

Thanks

Hi Roger,

Do you have a separate connection from your computer to the radio for tuning or are you tuning manually?

Is the Bluetooth connection between the laptop and the modem or between the laptop and the radio?

The modem spectrum display you indicate sounds like tuning off frequency.

What has changed since the last time everything did work properly? What did you touch? *grin*

Nothing. But the salt got to it. Took all the cables apart, cleaned the connectors, put them back together. It is working again. Yea!
