Ah, Hakai Pass, our favorite salmon fishing area for 25 years, wish I was there.We saw 8 of them hanging out in the middle of Hakai straight the other day...incredible critters.
As always there is a happy medium. I have seen the mouth of the Russian River, in Northern California, completely lined across the river with seals. from what I have read, they take a huge amount of returning Coho Salmon & Steelhead.back in the day I made 90 cents an hour banging nails and those noses were worth $5 bounty. How times change and glad of it.
