I updated the display to the most current software this spring and now suffer from crashes (system goes black and has to be restarted). I have re-updated the software and each time did the "reset" that is required. Still to no avail. It seems to crash when I go to the "Tools" page and select "Tides".

I called Tech Support who suggested I send in the unit. There don't seem to be any internal diagnostics in the machine. They thought it might be voltage but engine was running or not running when I have had the event. They also thought it could be temperature.

Has anyone else had similar problems? Any suggestions? I don't want to send it in at least until after sailing season but also hate the fact that it could crash at any time.

It is mounted in a Navpod. I have been reading a thread on HullTruth and there are some software problems with the 3.0. I found copies if 2.5 and an earlier, said to be more stable, 3.0. I'll give that a try and see if it solves it.
