I have a SanJuan 21...it has a couple of air tanks under the v-berth and quarter berths. The owners manual says it will not float if swamped...probably for liability reasons.
Anyway, I was wondering if it was possible to fill the compartments under the berths with some kind of "chemical foam" that would harden into a closed cell foam thus adding some kind of boyancy if the boat got swamped?
