I just got a skipjack 15 for next to nothing. It didn't have sails with it. I know that they took full batten sails. Anyone know of a place to find the right sails? Or the sail dimensions to find a suitable replacement? Other than the sails I just need to replace the running rigging and she is good to go!

measure the boat is going to be the best way to get the proper sail fit. from those measurements you can look for a used sail that will be close. build a sail from a kit that has close measurements and modify them to fit. you could have a sailmaker make a new sail to the original specs or custom made to the boat. the boat when new was available full batten and regular batten sails ( Surprise 15 ) Elliott / Pattison Sailmakers use to make the sails for the new boats

Try Hayes Custom Sails in Gloucester, VA. The skipjack was manufactured in Gloucester and there was a fleet at the Gloucester Yacht Club. My knowledge is dated; I cannot assure that that GYC still has a fleet.
