I have read a lot of articles online ,was ready to buy a book on electric however nothing seems to have a basic map. For example batter goes to fuse, fuse goes to bus, bus goes to instruments. I know everyone who has done boat electric on something as simple as my Catalina 22 says it's easy and i'm more than sure it is if you know what connects to what. That is what I need instruction on. I have seen the diagram online for the c-22 however i cant really say I can read an electrical diagram. Does anyone have a source for a map of what connects to what?

Ditto also on Charlie Wing's book. In the army when we taught electronics, we started with Ohm's Law, as does Charlie. From there draw "block diagrams" of your system. From there you can draw your circuits with all the sources, switches and loads. Soon enough you will be an expert on your system. The book has a lot of good reference material for redesigning your system to meet today's requirements.
Worth the money.
