Ditto here. Most of the snow is out of the yard and I was just thinking I could take the cover off and start cleaning my new (to me) boat. Maybe even plant some early crops in the garden.

Now they're saying 6" of snow on Friday. Boo.

Still in Alaska. Minding a waterfront home and two elderly dogs until the 15th.

Thanks for watching. I need to be working on one now instead of posting on Sailnet ;)
You guys are living the life. I've watched your videos for hours and even linked you to my page. About another 15 years I plan on being where your at. We are going to hit the Caribbean. You just have to live life to the fullest, hell with dreaming, just do it. Keep the vids coming, you have quite a following. Where you going next? By the way, I had to turn on my ac today and I seen some ladies in bikinis tanning...:)

Aah Spring! Close to 60 tomorrow! Gave in to sun and higher temps yesterday and uncovered Blue Hawaii! Love it! Also stacked the last loads of firewood from the woodpile in my yard to the bin where it belongs. Am I tempting fate? Kinda like washing your car on a sunny day brings rain....
Dropped a bug bomb and several dryer sheets inside the cabin before I venture in there tomorrow...hate spiders...lots to do before mid-May splash. Every moment a pleasure.

Our thinking exactly!

Where you going next?
Since we sailed away from Hawaii in 2007, we have pretty much just followed our whims and the winds. We did not expect to come to Alaska, quite the contrary, We thought we might be in Australia by now. Alaska, however, caught us by surprise. We expected to spend one summer here then head South. Now, during our second winter here, we think SE Alaska is a cruiser's paradise. We find Alaska suits us better than any place we have ever been and exciting new, unexpected opportunities have presented.

One in particular is of special interest to Laura and may cause us to tarry a bit longer in Southeast AK. If it works out we will be cruising with a purpose, helping to bring important services to remote communities in the islands. We will know in a couple of months how it will shake out.

Right now we think it would be difficult to improve on our situation but we have the freedom to go were ever we please. Short term, we will continue cruising in SE Alaska but that may change during the summer.
