Hi,

Any advice on dealers/manufacturers of winter covers in southwest Ontario region?
I have cover that was designed for mast-down. I plan to store boat mast-up.

That would be the most preferable option.

Do you think it is possible?

Cut from the bow end to the mast? and re-seal?

Yes, it should be possible. I reworked a cover from another boat to fit mine. The first season I was short on time so I cut the cover and sewed and taped it closed where necessary. The following summer I put zippers in where I had made the cuts. I ordered the zippers from sailrite.com.

I think you could do it with zippers or velcro with an overlap. If the material in your current cover is in decent shape it would be worth it.

By the way, the first boat wintered just south of Milwaukee, Wisconsin in Racine.
