For me the sweetest boats i have ever helmed are..

Dingy - Finn. Very balanced, challenging and nice downwind,

Keeler - Ross 40 Satellite Spy (modified by Murray Ross), fingertip controll, climed to windward nicely and amazing control downwind in a blow!

Multihull - Tornado (latest version with kite)

What about you...?

So far for me, it's Bubb's Bene. Very sweet ride.

I've helmed my C27, a Hunter 30, and an O'Day 25 thus far. No competition to his Bene.

A-class catamaran. It is pure sailing.
Freedom 36 (Mull) is distant next...

For me it was a Swan 48 on the return trip of the Bermuda Cruising Rally. We did 3 hours on and 6 off for about 4 days so I got to steer a lot. Winds were on the beem 15-20knts with prob 5 foot seas. Boat consistently did over 8 knots and surfing down waves we would get it above 13 and all the while the helm felt smooth as anything. Lets just say after that trip it was tough going back to helming my 32' morgan!
