Hi all, looking for a (swing arm) assembly that i can mount inside the companionway.I want to be able to mount my electronics to it and swing it out when needed.Im sure its been talked about before,but i just cant seem to find it.....Thanks George.

Have a look under Computer peripherals. It was some years back and on a previous boat but I did find something suitable for a small chart plotter that I mounted on a hinged bracket just inside companionway. It was all plastic so corrosion was not an issue.

For me the price difference twixt Marine outlet and computer store was significant. That said Oz does not have West Marine prices.

I bought a swing TV mount one from an electronics place that was closing down, $15, been on this one and PB for about 4 years now, no sign of corrosion.

There have been several self made ones featured in good old boat over the years, Seems pretty straight forward. Seen them made from plumbing, wood and all sorts of stuff.

Very simple to make from hardwood (3/4 x 3", etc.), small piano hinge, and bungee cord/velcro, etc.
